May is on the Way!

We have had a great week of learning after a nice spring break! The students have been working hard and we reached 141 days of school on Friday! Crazy how fast time flies!

In Math, we started learning about measurement and we worked on measuring items in the classroom using inches, feet, and yards. They have loved exploring the room and learning about different units of measurement!

In Science, we are continuing to learn about wonderful weather. We learned about the 3 main types of clouds- cirrus, cumulus, stratus. We also learned about 4 types of precipitation-rain, snow, sleet, and hail through a video and flap book.

In Writing, we worked on interviewing a student in class and writing a good paragraph about them from the answers to their questions. I think they learned a lot! We will share them next week.

Our 5th grade buddies came to visit too and we did a weather scavenger hunt together!

I hope you have a great weekend! :)

A Fun Week

We had a busy week after returning from vacation! In Math, we've been working on place value with hundreds, tens, and ones. We've learned new games too! In Fundations, we're working on the 6 sounds of e. In Social Studies/Writing, we're researching North America to create a class book.

Also, we celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday with a special guest reader and we learned a lot about Dr. Seuss's life too through Scholastic and a Kahoot game. Our guest read Fox in Socks and I read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

The students also learned some exciting news about their teacher! :)
