January is almost over! How did that happen? Field trip is due on Monday 1/30. I'll pick chaperones after I get all the slips. Your children have been working hard!

- Solved 1 and 2 step problems
- Wrote our own story problems
- Reviewed what we learned
- Took our Topic 7 test
In Fundations:
- Practiced words with ir, er, and ur
- Discussed verb and squirm
- Practiced trick words using the gel boards
- Played a new game called "Twingo"
In Social Studies:
- Began learning about maps and globes
- Did a coin activity to compare them
- Read Me on the Map and There's a Map on my Lap
- Made a Where I Live booklet
- Learned 2 new songs about the continents and oceans
- Learned the 7 continents and 5 oceans by making and labeling them on a world map
In Writing:
- Wrote a diamante antonym poem about summer and winter
